Greetings fellow soak seekers, hot potters, dunkers and dippers! As if you needed more encouragement to get out there and soak… It’s time for a few updates and additions for hot springs in Idaho and California.

Idaho Hot Springs

Updates

Skinnydipper Hot Springs

First up, the listing for Lava Hot Springs in Idaho received a massive update that includes where to stay, places to eat and what to do including additional information about the public use hot springs pools. In another FYI, in case you didn’t hear, earlier this year the BLM opted to close Skinnydipper Hot Springs for another 5 years (until June of 2026) due to a spike in abuse of other area hot springs like Kirkham.

Northern California Hot Springs

New Additions and Updates

If you like to hike and soak, check out the new listing for Buckeye Hot Springs. Located in northern California, not far from Bridgeport, where the hot pools are a short jaunt from the campground of the same name. Also near Bridgeport, a wealth of new information was added to Travertine Hot Springs. And in other area news, the 9+ mile trail to Sykes Hot Springs is back open after a 5-year closure.

Southern California Hot Springs

New Additions

Remington

A short but steep hike in the Sequoia National Forest near Lake Isabella leads to the well cared for Remington Hot Springs, located approximately 3 hours north of LA. If backpacking is more of your thing, as it should be, a trek to Sespe Hot Springs near Santa Barbara in the Los Padres National Forest might be just the ticket.

That’s all for now, cya on the trail!
