  1. Be careful! The care taker reminded me of the shinning.Do not bring your children unless they are used to profanity. The lady is really a piece of work. She just ran around screaming F— this and F— that. Stay clear

  2. That’s no good! I’m sorry to hear about that. I have actually yet to make it out to Burgdorf Hot Springs, but have heard some interesting stories over the years. Trip Advisor contains a review that echo’s your comment. Thanks for posting and keeping us in the loop!

  3. I grew up going to Burgdorf. I have gone recently and didn’t have any problems with the owner. Though I can say as a kid I thought the owner or manager whomever lived there and maintained the place was WIERD. I don’t know if the caretaker is new or what. But as of November of 08 they seemed very normal. In fact, summer of 08 we went and their grandkids (or maybe it was another relative) were there and seemed to be pretty good kids as well. I haven’t however stayed in any cabins since I was…..well, over 13 years ago. Don’t shy away from Burgdorf. It is definately worth the drive. Crystal mountain is nearby and very neat as well. The views are amazing.

  4. Thanks for the update Mom in Idaho, that’s good to hear!

  5. We have just gotten back from a trip to Burgdorf Hot Springs. The caretaker was a mild mannered, well spoken, beautiful woman. Her daughter charmed us with her feather and rock collection and we enjoyed wonderful conversation with both her and her mother. This was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, and the caretaker could not have been a better hostess. Perhaps anonymous gave her a reason to be upset. It was peaceful, serene, and full of energy. I cannot reccommend it enough
